New Project: A Journey to Protect My Identity!

So much has been written about the various types of credit and identity protection related services, yet the email in my Inbox continues to reflect consumers remain confused and in the dark about today's potential solutions. I want to help turn on the light.

Some consumers use a multi-layer approach when protecting their home, including locking doors, using a deadbolt and installing a security system. Some of us are interested in doing the same when it comes to protecting our identity. I am one of them. For me and for a lot of people, the money I pay my auto mechanic to keep my car running smoothly is well worth it, even if I could technically maintain my own car --I wouldn't want to. I'm happy to rely on experts --once I confirm they are worthy of my trust and my money.

I am on a journey to find out what types of protection and restoration services are available in the market today. Of equal importance to me, I want to know what the company, the people and their commitment to consumer protection is all about.

The crime of identity theft is unfortunately very real. Those of us who choose to be both informed consumers and purchasers of identity theft protection need to understand what today's services have to offer ---so we can then determine for ourselves, whether they're really worth the money.
