According to the Broward Sheriff's Office, Cristobal Chavez, 29, stole the credit card numbers by copying them with a device called a skimmer while working at the Romeus Cuban Restaurant. Investigators believe Chavez copied the numbers over a several month span.

"We believe he was selling the numbers," Broward Sheriff's Sgt. Jay Leiner told CBS 4's Carey Codd.
The problem of skimming is becoming such a problem that Sgt. Leiner said the local authorities and the U.S. Secret Service are renewing an effort to crack down on skimmers.
Here's yet another restaurant owner in Clearwater, FL.Clearwater Police said a waiter at Toscano Grille Restaurant on McMullen Booth Road has been stealing customer's credit card numbers. There are four reported victims, but police believe there are many more.
Mircea Constantin Ciornei was arrested Wednesday night as he left the eatery after his shift was completed.
His boss, Nicole Anderson, was emotional when she talked about Ciornei.
